Detailed vulnerability description
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.
The weakness exists in the id3_ucs4_length function in ucs4.c in libid3tag due to NULL pointer dereference. A remote attacker can submit a specially crafted mp3 file and cause the service to crash.
