Icinga Web 2

Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote user to disclose host-related information.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access control in role restrictions linked to decommissioned services when evaluating access based on service custom variables. A remote user can retain access to host-related objects after service objects are decommissioned to disclose host-related information.

Only installations of Icinga 2 with the IDO writer enabled are affected. This applies when a role implicitly permits access to hosts through access to at least one of their services.
