Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to out-of-bounds read in the MXF demuxer when parsing crafted VANC packets in an MXF file. A remote attacker can supply a specially crafted MXF file to cause a denial of service.

User interaction is required to open or process a crafted MXF file.
