Out-of-bounds write in Linux kernel - CVE-2026-80706

Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds write in the application Softing CAN firmware loader staging copy when processing firmware-provided record data for DPRAM staging. A local user can provide a crafted firmware record to cause a denial of service.
The application loader does not bound the staging copy against the mapped DPRAM before copying.
