Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service through excessive memory consumption or prolonged processing.
The vulnerability exists due to inefficient algorithmic complexity in pypdf's form-field retrieval functionality when retrieving form fields from a crafted PDF document. A remote attacker can craft a PDF that triggers excessive resource consumption to cause a denial of service.
