Detailed vulnerability description
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service attack.
The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read in libmatio.a due to an out-of-bounds read with a SEGV in the function Mat_VarReadNextInfo5() in mat5.c.
