Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to an error in ConvertToPDF when parsing TIFF images in PhantomPDF. A remote attacker can create a specially rafted PDF file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system with privileges of the current user.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
