Detailed vulnerability description
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The weakness exists due to improper handling of executable files and shares by Windows Explorer during rename operations. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted email containing both a folder and malware named with an executable extension, trick the victim into opening it and execute arbitrary code with privileges of the current user.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may result in system compromise.
