Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition or possibly execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The weakness exists due to multiple stack-based buffer overflows when the application does not verify string size before copying to memory. A remote attacker can trigger memory corruption and cause the system crash or execute arbitrary code.

Update to version 1.8.2.
