Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-43814)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the parse_die() function when reversing an AMD64 ELF binary with DWARF debug info. A remote attacker can trick the victim to open a malicious AMD64 ELF binary, trigger an out-of-bounds write and crash the affected application or execute arbitrary code on the target system.
2) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-4022)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error when processing files in the rz_core_analysis_type_match. A remote attacker can trick the victim to open a specially crafted file, trigger a use-after-free error and execute arbitrary code on the system.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
