Description
This security bulletin contains information about 7 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-41495)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error in numpy.sort in NumPy. A remote attacker can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
2) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-39419)
The vulnerability allows a remote authenticated user to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Java VM in Oracle Database Server. A remote authenticated user can exploit this vulnerability to gain access to sensitive information.
3) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-21606)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to read and manipulate data.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Oracle Services for Microsoft Transaction Server in Oracle Database Server. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to read and manipulate data.
4) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-1587)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition in the get_recurse_data_length() function in pcre2_jit_compile.c when handling recursions in JIT-compiled regular expressions. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the affected application, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.
5) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-36518)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input. A remote attacker can trigger out-of-bounds write and cause a denial of service condition on the target system.
6) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-21603)
The vulnerability allows a remote privileged user to execute arbitrary code.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Oracle Database - Sharding in Oracle Database Server. A remote privileged user can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code.
7) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-21596)
The vulnerability allows a remote privileged user to execute arbitrary code.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Oracle Database - Advanced Queuing in Oracle Database Server. A remote privileged user can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code.
