Description
This security bulletin contains information about 9 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2013-4998)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to gain access to sensitive information.
phpMyAdmin 3.5.x before 3.5.8.2 and 4.0.x before 4.0.4.2 allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information via an invalid request, which reveals the installation path in an error message, related to pmd_common.php and other files.
2) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2013-4999)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to gain access to sensitive information.
phpMyAdmin 4.0.x before 4.0.4.2 allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information via an invalid request, which reveals the installation path in an error message, related to Error.class.php and Error_Handler.class.php.
3) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2013-5000)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to gain access to sensitive information.
phpMyAdmin 3.5.x before 3.5.8.2 allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information via an invalid request, which reveals the installation path in an error message, related to config.default.php and other files.
4) SQL injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2013-5003)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.
5) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2014-1879)
Vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform Cross-site scripting attacks.
An input validation error exists in import.php in phpMyAdmin before 4.1.7. A remote authenticated attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in victim's browser in security context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
6) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2014-4348)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data when processing data passed via a crafted (1) database name or (2) table name that is improperly handled after presence in (a) the favorite list or (b) recent tables. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
7) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2014-4349)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data when processing data passed via a crafted table name that is improperly handled after a (1) hide or (2) unhide action.
8) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2014-5273)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data when processing data passed via the (1) browse table page, related to js/sql.js; (2) ENUM editor page, related to js/functions.js; (3) monitor page, related to js/server_status_monitor.js; (4) query charts page, related to js/tbl_chart.js; or (5) table relations page, related to libraries/tbl_relation.lib.php.
9) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2014-6300)
Vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform XSS attacks.
The vulnerability is caused by an input validation error in the micro history implementation in phpMyAdmin 4.0.x before 4.0.10.3, 4.1.x before 4.1.14.4, and 4.2.x before 4.2.8.1. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in victim's browser in security context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
