Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-15880)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform stored cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists in the frontend profile due to inadequate output filtering on the user profile page. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
2) Security restrictions bypass (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-15881)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass security restrictions.
The vulnerability exists in custom fields due to inadequate checks regarding disabled fields. A remote attacker can supply specially crafted fields, bypass security restrictions and violate ACL in custom fields.
3) Security restrictions bypass (CVE-ID: CVE-2018-15882)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass security restrictions.
The vulnerability exists due to inadequate checks in the InputFilter class. A remote attacker can use specifically prepared PHAR files to bypass the upload filter.
