Description

This security bulletin contains information about 7 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1181)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of requests sent to Remote Desktop Services when an unauthenticated attacker connects to the target system using RDP and sends specially crafted requests. A remote non-authenticated attacker can send specially crafted requests to the affected system and execute arbitrary code.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

2) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1225)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition in Windows RDP server. A remote authenticated user can run a specially crafted application, trigger out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.

3) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1224)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition in Windows RDP server. A remote authenticated user can run a specially crafted application, trigger out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.

4) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1223)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input when processing RDP requests. A remote non-authenticated attacker can send specially crafted RDP requests to the affected system and perform denial of service (DoS) attack.

5) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1222)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of requests sent to Remote Desktop Services when an unauthenticated attacker connects to the target system using RDP and sends specially crafted requests. A remote non-authenticated attacker can send specially crafted requests to the affected system and execute arbitrary code.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

6) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1226)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of requests sent to Remote Desktop Services when an unauthenticated attacker connects to the target system using RDP and sends specially crafted requests. A remote non-authenticated attacker can send specially crafted requests to the affected system and execute arbitrary code.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

7) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-1182)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of requests sent to Remote Desktop Services when an unauthenticated attacker connects to the target system using RDP and sends specially crafted requests. A remote non-authenticated attacker can send specially crafted requests to the affected system and execute arbitrary code.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
