Description
This security bulletin contains information about 6 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Deserialization of Untrusted Data (CVE-ID: N/A)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to insecure input validation when processing serialized data within the Extbase Request Handling. A remote attacker can submit specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system but requires the ability to sign the request with a valid HMAC-SHA1 key.
2) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: N/A)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data within the Link Handling. A remote attacker can injection a specially crafted t3:// URL and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
3) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: N/A)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data within the Filelist Module when processing file extensions. A remote attacker can execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
4) Path traversal (CVE-ID: N/A)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences within Extension Manager during extraction of manual uploaded ZIP archives. A remote attacker can trick an administrator into uploading a specially crafted zip file that contains directory traversal characters in its name and overwrite arbitrary files on the system.
5) SQL injection (CVE-ID: N/A)
The vulnerability allows a remote administrator to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in QueryGenerator within the ext:lowlevel system extension. A remote authenticated administrator can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.
6) Deserialization of Untrusted Data (CVE-ID: N/A)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to insecure input validation when processing serialized data in classes "QueryGenerator" and "QueryView". A remote authenticated attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
