Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-15918)
The vulnerability allows a local authenticated user to execute arbitrary code.
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel before 5.0.10. SMB2_negotiate in fs/cifs/smb2pdu.c has an out-of-bounds read because data structures are incompletely updated after a change from smb30 to smb21.
2) Memory leak (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-20096)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to memory leak within __feat_register_sp() in net/dccp/feat.c, which may cause denial of service, aka CID-1d3ff0950e2b. A remote attacker can perform a denial of service attack.
