Description
This security bulletin contains information about 8 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Spoofing attack (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-1105)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform spoofing attack.
The vulnerability exists due to the Microsoft SharePoint Server does not properly sanitize a specially crafted web request to an affected SharePoint server. A remote authenticated attacker can send a specially crafted request and spoof page content.
2) Spoofing attack (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-1104)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform spoofing attack.
The vulnerability exists due to the Microsoft SharePoint Server does not properly sanitize a specially crafted web request to an affected SharePoint server. A remote authenticated attacker can send a specially crafted request and spoof page content.
3) Cross-site request forgery (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-1103)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site request forgery attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of the HTTP request origin in certain modes of the "search" function. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim on the vulnerable website.
4) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-1102)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists in Microsoft SharePoint when handling shared forms. A remote authenticated attacker can invoke a shared form in a way that allows arbitrary controls to be instantiated and execute arbitrary code in the context of the SharePoint application pool and the SharePoint server farm account.
5) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-1069)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to the Microsoft SharePoint Server fails to properly identify and filter unsafe ASP.Net web controls. A remote authenticated attacker can create and invoke a specially crafted page and perform actions in the security context of the SharePoint application pool process.
6) Spoofing attack (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-1107)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform spoofing attack.
The vulnerability exists due to the Microsoft SharePoint Server does not properly sanitize a specially crafted web request to an affected SharePoint server. A remote authenticated attacker can send a specially crafted request and spoof page content.
7) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-1024)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists in Microsoft SharePoint when the software fails to check the source markup of an application package. A remote authenticated attacker can upload a specially crafted SharePoint application package and execute arbitrary code in the context of the SharePoint application pool and the SharePoint server farm account.
8) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-1023)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists in Microsoft SharePoint when the software fails to check the source markup of an application package. A remote authenticated attacker can upload a specially crafted SharePoint application package and execute arbitrary code in the context of the SharePoint application pool and the SharePoint server farm account.
