Security Bulletin

This security bulletin contains information about 3 vulnerabilities.

1) NULL pointer dereference

EUVDB-ID: #VU28486

Risk: Medium

CVSSv3.1: 6.5 [CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H/E:U/RL:O/RC:C]

CVE-ID: CVE-2020-13649

CWE-ID: CWE-476 - NULL Pointer Dereference

Exploit availability: No

Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error during certain out-of-memory conditions in the "parser/js/js-scanner.c" file, as demonstrated by a "scanner_reverse_info_list" NULL pointer dereference and a "scanner_scan_all assertion" failure. A remote attacker can perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

Mitigation

Install update from vendor's website.

No. We are not aware of malware exploiting this vulnerability.

2) Resource exhaustion

EUVDB-ID: #VU28485

Risk: Medium

CVSSv3.1: 6.5 [CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H/E:U/RL:O/RC:C]

CVE-ID: CVE-2020-13623

CWE-ID: CWE-400 - Resource exhaustion

Exploit availability: No

Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources within a proxy operation. A remote attacker can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

Mitigation

Install update from vendor's website.

3) Reachable Assertion

EUVDB-ID: #VU28484

Risk: Medium

CVSSv3.1: 6.5 [CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H/E:U/RL:O/RC:C]

CVE-ID: CVE-2020-13622

CWE-ID: CWE-617 - Reachable Assertion

Exploit availability: No

Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a reachable assertion when property key query for a Proxy object returns unintended data. A remote attacker can cause a denial of service condition on the target system.

Mitigation

Install update from vendor's website.
