Description

This security bulletin contains information about 6 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-4013)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data passed via the review objectives. A remote authenticated attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

2) Improper Authorization (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-4014)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to bypass authorization checks.

The vulnerability exists due to improper permission checks in the "/profile/deleteWatch.do" resource. A remote authenticated attacker can remove another user's watching settings for a repository.

3) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-4015)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to excessive data output by the application in the "/json/fe/activeUserFinder.do" resource. A remote attacker can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system, such as user email addresses.

4) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-4016)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to excessive data output by the application in the "/plugins/servlet/jira-blockers/" resource in the crucible-jira-ril plugin. A remote attacker can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system, such as the ID of configured Jira application links.

5) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-4017)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to excessive data output by the application in the "/rest/jira-ril/1.0/jira-rest/applinks" resource in the crucible-jira-ril plugin. A remote attacker can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.

6) Cross-site request forgery (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-4018)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site request forgery attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of the HTTP request origin in the setup resources. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim on the vulnerable website.
