Description
This security bulletin contains information about 7 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2019-11253)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation when processing YAML or JSON data in Kubernetes API server. A remote attacker can pass a malicious file to the API server and consume excessive memory and CPU resources, leading to a denial of service (DoS) attack.
Note, this vulnerability can be exploited by a remote non-authenticated attacker in Kubernetes versions prior to 1.14.0 due to default RBAC policy.
2) Deserialization of Untrusted Data (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-7660)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to insecure input validation when processing serialized data in the function "deleteFunctions" within "index.js". A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
3) Incorrect Regular Expression (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-7662)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to the extension parser may take quadratic time when parsing a header containing an unclosed string parameter value whose content is a repeating two-byte sequence of a backslash and some other character. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and perform regular expression denial of service (ReDos) attack.
4) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-12052)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to read and manipulate data.
Grafana version < 6.7.3 is vulnerable for annotation popup XSS.
5) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-12245)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data passed via column.title or cellLinkTooltip. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
6) Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-13379)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform SSRF attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input within the avatar feature. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and trick the application to initiate requests to arbitrary systems.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker gain access to sensitive data, located in the local network or send malicious requests to other servers from the vulnerable system.
7) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-13430)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data passed via the OpenTSDB datasource. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
