Security Bulletin

This security bulletin contains information about 2 vulnerabilities.

1) Input validation error

EUVDB-ID: #VU50611

Risk: Medium

CVSSv3.1: 6.5 [CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H/E:U/RL:O/RC:C]

CVE-ID: CVE-2021-22977

CWE-ID: CWE-20 - Improper input validation

Exploit availability: No

Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input when processing communication between malicious HTTP client code and a malicious server. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and force the Traffic Management Microkernel (TMM) to restart.

Mitigation

Install updates from vendor's website.

2) Resource exhaustion

EUVDB-ID: #VU50612

Risk: Medium

CVSSv3.1: 6.5 [CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H/E:U/RL:O/RC:C]

CVE-ID: CVE-2021-22975

CWE-ID: CWE-400 - Resource exhaustion

Exploit availability: No

Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources. A remote attacker can trigger resource exhaustion and force the Traffic Management Microkernel (TMM) module to restart.

Mitigation

Install updates from vendor's website.
