Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Improper Authorization (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-1464)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass authorization checks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient authorization checks. A remote authenticated attacker can send specially crafted requests to bypass authorization checks and gain restricted access to the configuration data of the target system.


2) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-1462)

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly impose security restrictions in the CLI. A local administrator can create a malicious file, which the system would parse at a later time and obtain root privileges on the target system.
