Description

This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-24355)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the parsing of file name extensions. A remote attacker on the local network can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

2) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-0650)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the httpd service. A remote administrator on the local network can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

3) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-24972)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions within the httpd service. A remote attacker on the local network can bypass implemented security restrictions and disclose stored credentials.

4) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-24973)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the httpd service. A remote administrator on the local network can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
