Description

This security bulletin contains information about 14 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-1423)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions in the CI/CD cache mechanism. A remote user can perform cache poisoning and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

2) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-1510)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly properly handling malicious text in the CI Editor and CI Pipeline details page. A remote user can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

3) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-1406)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote user can import a malicious project and read protected Group or Project CI/CD variables.

4) Improper Authorization (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-1460)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to bypass authorization checks.

The vulnerability exists due to incorrect authorization on scheduled pipelines. A remote administrator can run a pipeline in the context of another user.

5) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-1413)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to missing input masking. A remote administrator can disclose potentially sensitive integration properties in the web interface.

6) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-1352)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to an insecure direct object reference. A remote attacker can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.

7) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-1428)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to the affected application improperly verifies throttling limits for authenticated package requests. A remote user can cause limits to not be enforced.

8) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-1417)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions. A remote user can access contents of Project Members-only Wikis via malicious CI jobs.

9) Improper Authorization (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-1124)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass authorization checks.

The vulnerability exists due to incorrect authorization. A remote user can access trace log of jobs when it is enabled.

10) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-1416)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in Pipeline error messages. A remote user can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

11) Resource exhaustion (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-1431)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly control consumption of internal resources in the PyPi API endpoint. A remote user can trigger resource exhaustion and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

12) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-1433)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data within Markdown caching. A remote user can inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.

13) Improper Authentication (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-1426)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to bypass authentication process.

The vulnerability exists due to conan API incorrectly processes JWT-encoded Personal Access Tokens. A remote administrator can authenticate without a personal access token.

14) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: N/A)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to excessive data output by the application. A remote user can disclose details of confidential notes created via the API.
