Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) External Control of File Name or Path (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-20806)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to compromise the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient input validation of user-supplied command arguments. A remote administrator can obtain sensitive information and cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on the target system.


2) XML External Entity injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-20807)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied XML input in the file-parsing logic. A remote administrator can pass a specially crafted XML code to the affected application and view contents of arbitrary files on the system or initiate requests to external systems.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to view contents of arbitrary file on the server or perform network scanning of internal and external infrastructure.


3) Inclusion of Sensitive Information in Log Files (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-20809)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to software stores sensitive information into log files in the logging component. A remote user can read the log files and gain access to sensitive data.
