Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Improper Certificate Validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-0341)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform MitM attack.
the vulnerability exists due to improper certificate validation within the verifyHostName in OkHostnameVerifier.java in okhttp library in Android runtime. A remote attacker can force the system to accept a certificate for the wrong domain due to improperly used crypto and perform MitM attack.
2) Integer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-47629)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to integer overflow in the CRL signature parser. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger an integer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
