Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-27857)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and cause a denial of service condition on the target system.
2) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-27855)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences in the file_name field. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and read arbitrary files on the system.
3) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-27856)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences in the file_name field. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request and upload arbitrary files on the system.
