Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the gsl_stats_quantile_from_sorted_data() function. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger memory corruption and compromise the affected system.


Mitigation

Update the affected package gsl to the latest version.
