SB20241015123 - Multiple vulnerabilities in Oracle Communications Operations Monitor

Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-32760)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing HTTP/3 requests within the HTTP/3 QUIC module (ngx_http_v3_module). A remote attacker can send specially crafted HTTP/3 requests to the web server, trigger an out-of-bounds write and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

2) Infinite loop (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-30251)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to infinite loop. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted POST request, consume all available system resources and cause denial of service conditions.

3) Inefficient Algorithmic Complexity (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-46136)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to high resource usage when parsing multipart/form-data. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
