Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 vulnerabilities.

1) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-31354)

CWE-ID: CWE-125 - Out-of-bounds read

CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:A/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Green

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denal of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition in the SMTPS notification service. A remote attacker on the local network can use an EC certificate with crafted F2m parameters, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and cause a denial of service condition on the system.

2) Deserialization of Untrusted Data (CVE-ID: CVE-2025-31935)

CWE-ID: CWE-502 - Deserialization of Untrusted Data

CVSSv4: CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Clear

The vulnerability allows a local attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to insecure input validation when processing serialized data. A local attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and cause a denial of service condition on the target system.
