Security Bulletin

This security bulletin contains information about 2 vulnerabilities.

1) Out-of-bounds read

EUVDB-ID: #VU107450

Risk: Medium

CVSSv4.0: 1.3 [CVSS:4.0/AV:A/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Green]

CVE-ID: CVE-2025-31354

CWE-ID: CWE-125 - Out-of-bounds read

Exploit availability: No

Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denal of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition in the SMTPS notification service. A remote attacker on the local network can use an EC certificate with crafted F2m parameters, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and cause a denial of service condition on the system.

Mitigation

Install updates from vendor's website.

Q & A

Can this vulnerability be exploited remotely?

Yes. This vulnerability can be exploited by a remote non-authenticated attacker via the local network (LAN).

How the attacker can exploit this vulnerability?

The attacker would have to send a specially crafted request to the affected application in order to exploit this vulnerability.

Is there known malware, which exploits this vulnerability?

No. We are not aware of malware exploiting this vulnerability.

2) Deserialization of Untrusted Data

EUVDB-ID: #VU107451

Risk: Low

CVSSv4.0: 4.6 [CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U/U:Clear]

CVE-ID: CVE-2025-31935

CWE-ID: CWE-502 - Deserialization of Untrusted Data

Exploit availability: No

Description

The vulnerability allows a local attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to insecure input validation when processing serialized data. A local attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and cause a denial of service condition on the target system.

Mitigation

Install updates from vendor's website.
