Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-13943)
The vulnerability allows a local user to execute atbitrary code on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input within the QCMAP_ConnectionManager component. A local user can abuse the service to assign LAN addresses to the WWAN and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
2) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-6032)
The vulnerability allows a local user to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the ql_atfwd process. A local user can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
3) Execution with unnecessary privileges (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-6030)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to unnecessary privileges sandbox escape within the oFono process. A local user can bypass the iptables network sandbox and gain elevated privileges.
