Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to boundary error in wiretap/vwr.c within IxVeriWave file parser. A remote attacker can create perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.


Mitigation
Upgrade to Wireshark 2.4.4, 2.2.12 or later.
