Description

The vulnerability allows a local user to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to software stores secrets in memory in plain text. A local user can read the memory and obtain passwords in plain text when PAM is used to perform authentication.

Mitigation
Install updates from vendor's website.
