Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to nntp.c proceeds even if memory allocation fails for messages data. A remote attacker can supply specially crafted input and cause the service to crash.

Mitigation
Update to version 1.10.1.
