Description

The vulnerability allows a local attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to infinite loop in archive.java in Junrar when handling corrupt RAR files. A local attacker can trick the victim into opening a specially crafted RAR file and cause denial of service conditions.

Mitigation
Install updates from vendor's website.
