Description

This security bulletin contains information about 5 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-2853)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target device.

The weakness exists in the RequestForPatientInfoEEGfile functionality due to stack-based buffer overflow. A remote attacker can submit a specially crafted network packet, trigger memory corruption, inject arbitrary commands and execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges.

2) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-2867)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target device.

The weakness exists in the SavePatientMontage functionality due to stack-based buffer overflow. A remote attacker can submit a specially crafted network packet, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges.

3) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-2868)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target device.

The weakness exists in the NewProducerStream functionality due to stack-based buffer overflow. A remote attacker can submit a specially crafted network packet, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges.

4) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-2869)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target device.

The weakness exists in the OpenProducer functionality due to stack-based buffer overflow. A remote attacker can submit a specially crafted network packet, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges.

5) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2017-2861)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target device.

The weakness exists in the use of a return value in the NewProducerStream command due to out-of-bounds read. A remote attacker can submit a specially crafted network packet, trigger memory corruption and cause the service to crash.
