Security Bulletin
This security bulletin contains information about 3 vulnerabilities.
EUVDB-ID: #VU32533
Risk: Medium
CVSSv3.1: 4.6 [CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:L/E:U/RL:O/RC:C]
CVE-ID: CVE-2013-7353
CWE-ID:
CWE-122 - Heap-based Buffer Overflow
Exploit availability: No
DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in Integer overflow in the png_set_unknown_chunks function in libpng/pngset.c in libpng before 1.5.14beta08. A remote attacker can use a crafted image to trigger heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
MitigationInstall updates from vendor's repository.

CVE-ID: CVE-2013-7354
CWE-ID:
CWE-20 - Improper input validation
Exploit availability: No
DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to perform service disruption.
Multiple integer overflows in libpng before 1.5.14rc03 allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a crafted image to the (1) png_set_sPLT or (2) png_set_text_2 function, which triggers a heap-based buffer overflow.
MitigationInstall updates from vendor's repository.

EUVDB-ID: #VU19180
Risk: Low
CVSSv3.1: 2.5 [CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:L/E:U/RL:O/RC:C]
CVE-ID: CVE-2017-12652
CWE-ID:
CWE-20 - Improper input validation
Exploit availability: No
DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in libpng when checking the chuck length against the user limit. A remote attacker can supply a specially crafted PNG image and crash the affected application.
MitigationInstall updates from vendor's repository.
