Description

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to zstd temporarily exposes a world-readable version of its input even if the original file had restrictive permissions. A local user with access to the system can gain access to sensitive information.

Mitigation

Update libzstd package to version 1.3.8+dfsg-3+deb10u1.
