Description

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error when throw_error is called after . A local user can trigger a use-after-free by sending a D-Bus message to the accounts-daemon process and crash the daemon or execute arbitrary code as root.

Mitigation

Update the affected package accountsservice to the latest version.
