Description

The vulnerability allows a local attacker to gain elevated privileges on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient input validation in installer in Intel(R) Rapid Store Technology (RST). A local attacker can supply a specially crafted input to potentially elevate privileges or cause an installer denial of service via local access.

Update to version 16.7.
