Description

The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to improper check for unusual or exceptional conditions error in the Public Key Infrastructure daemon (pkid). A remote non-authenticated attacker can cause Denial of Service (DoS).

The pkid is responsible for the certificate verification.

Upon a failed verification, the pkid uses all CPU resources and becomes unresponsive to future verification attempts.

Mitigation
Install updates from vendor's website.
